Within the concept of space and time Luka investigated the possibility of creating art works out of a “non intervention” creating a unique painting technique in collaboration with the laws and principles of nature and using time-lapse videos to capture the process.
Born in communist Yugoslavia in 1977 and raised by two women, his mother and his grand mother, in 1998 Luka moved to Paris in his twenties and then in 2006 to Santander (Spain) his wife’s hometown.
The change from the big city to the small town on the ocean, from the flat in Paris to the house in Spanish countryside, makes him think about the interaction we have with our environment, all the chaos in his country and family, the excess of activity versus the consequences of doing nothing about the situations we face through life.
